Techie dies after run over by truck while trying to avoid pothole

CHENNAI: A 22-year-old woman died after she was hit by a truck while swerving her scooter to avoid a pothole on the road. The incident took place near Maduravoyal in Chennai. The incident happened when Shobhana was on her way to drop her brother to an institution. She was an engineer working with Zoho, a private tech company. The truck driver fled soon after the accident but was arrested later.

She met with the accident on her way to drop her brother for his NEET coaching class. Her brother sustained serious injuries. The truck carrying sand ran over her after she fell on the road. The locals blamed the heavily potholed roads for the accident. Soon after the accident, the authorities filled the roads in an hour.
