Drunken brawl on public road; Seven people including CPM councilor and SFI leader arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have arrested seven people, including a CPM municipal councilor, who created a ruckus on the public road after getting drunk. The arrested are Pathanamthitta councilor VR Johnson, SFI former district secretary Sharath Sasidharan, Sajith, Arun Chandran, Shiban, Sivashankar and Arjun Mani.

The group of seven had stopped the car on the way to Edathua Changankary Church and were drinking. As some locals questioned this, the group got into a fight with them. The group also threatened the police who reached the spot after being informed by the locals. Edathua police have registered a case in the incident.
