SRIHARIKOTA: ISRO chairman Dr V Narayanan has reacted to the successful launch of NVS-03, a crucial earth observation satellite. Speaking at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, he informed that the satellite had been successfully placed into its intended elliptical orbit with precision.
The chairman congratulated all those involved in the mission, including ISRO employees. He also informed that five more launches are scheduled to take place during the present financial year. He said that India is now moving closer to achieving Gaganyaan, the country's ambitious mission to send humans into space.
The chairman said that completing this mission just 56 days after the previous GSLV mission is an important achievement. With this success, four satellites required for the effective functioning of the NavIC navigation system are now in place.
NavIC is a strategic achievement that enables India to independently provide navigation and timing services without relying on foreign assistance. The system is also used for civilian purposes. Dr V Narayanan said that through systems such as Gaganyaan and NavIC, India is making a significant contribution to the global navigation sector.
