THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister A P Anilkumar has criticised MLA Ramya Haridas over the recent clash controversy in Chirayinkeezhu, saying her approach to the issue was inappropriate.

Anilkumar said leaders must exercise restraint in such situations. He also criticised Ramya for meeting AICC general secretary K C Venugopal instead of appearing before the KPCC inquiry committee, saying she should not have unnecessarily dragged Venugopal's name into the controversy. He made it clear that Venugopal would never support such actions.

The minister also alleged that Venugopal had been unnecessarily targeted during discussions over the Chief Minister's post. He said he was deeply hurt by the attacks against Venugopal.
