THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department predicted rain in Kerala for the next five days. A yellow alert was issued in various districts, including Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts and tomorrow in Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
Isolated heavy rain is predicted. IMD also informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms and strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph in isolated places in Kerala today (22/07/2026) and tomorrow (23/07/2026).
There is no restriction on fishing along the Kerala - Lakshadweep coasts today (22/07/2026). The Indian Meteorological Department informed that fishing should not be allowed along the Karnataka coast today and tomorrow (22/07/2026 & 23/07/2026).
From 2/07/2026 to 26/07/2026*: Strong winds gusting up to 45 to 55 kmph, gusting up to 65 kmph at times, likely over west central Arabian Sea and adjoining east central Arabian Sea.
22/07/2026, 23/07/2026: Strong winds gusting up to 40 to 50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, likely over Karnataka coast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea.
