Man who jumped from police jeep dies; taken into custody in connection with family dispute

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man has died after jumping out of a police jeep while in custody. Sanofer, who had jumped from the jeep of Poonthura police, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the medical college. The dead has been identified as a native of Poozhikunnu in Pappanamcode, Thiruvananthapuram. The police had taken him into custody in connection with a family dispute. According to the police, the man had jumped out of the jeep on the way to the hospital for a medical examination. He was in critical condition at the medical college for the past four days. The body will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.
