Newborn dies during delivery at Punalur Taluk Hospital; family alleges medical negligence

KOLLAM: A newborn baby died during delivery at Punalur Taluk Hospital early Wednesday morning. The baby is that of Anoop and Shruthi of Punalur. The family alleged that medical negligence of the hospital led to the baby’s death. They are staging protests over the incident. However, hospital authorities have stated that the death was not due to medical negligence. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and have begun an investigation into the incident.
