Six injured, three critical after jeep skids off hilly road in Vagamon

IDUKKI: Six people were injured after a jeep overturned near Vagamon Kuvalettam on Thursday. The jeep, ferrying tourists for off-road trekking, fell into a ravine after losing control. The condition of three is critical.

Similarly, locals complained that the off-road jeeps in the tourist hotspot are indulging in reckless driving, posing a threat to locals, too. Although jeep safaris are very popular in Vagamon, a beautiful hilly tourist destination in Idukki district, such reckless driving and recurring accidents are slowly turning tourists away from the spot.
