Relief for Malayalees, 10 stops in Kerala; Special train connecting Mangaluru-Bengaluru on Saturday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Railways announced that a special Mangaluru Junction - SMVT Bengaluru Special Train (06072) will operate on Saturday. This comes as a big relief to Malayalees returning after the Onam vacation.

The train, which will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 11.15 am on Saturday, August 29, will reach Bengaluru at 4 am on Sunday.

The train will have stops in Kerala at Kasaragod (arrival time - 11.54 am), Kanhangad (12.14 pm), Nileshwaram (12.24 pm), Payyannur (12.45 pm), Kannur (1.27 pm), Thalassery (1.50 pm), Vadakara (2.14 pm), Kozhikode (3.34 pm), Shoranur (4.30 pm) and Palakkad Junction (5.30 pm). The train will run with one AC two-tier, three AC three-tier, ten sleeper class, and four second class cum luggage brake van coaches.

Today, the Thiruvananthapuram North - Santragachi Junction Special Train (06058) will also operate. The train, departing at 2.40 pm, will reach Santragachi at 2.15 pm on Monday. It has stops at Kollam Junction, Kayamkulam, Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur and Palakkad Junction.
