Two-day class, 10 hours training for chief minister and ministers

KOZHIKODE: A workshop organized by the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K) for the state’s ministers has begun. Titled ‘Reimagining Keralam,’ the workshop is being held for two days. The programme is taking place today and tomorrow at the IIM-K campus, with a total of 10 hours of training.


Chief Minister V D Satheesan, ministers, chief secretary, chief minister’s secretary, the officer on special duty (OSD), the state protocol officer, and others will participate. Sessions will be led by IIM-K faculty members and international experts.


Chief Minister V D Satheesan inaugurated the first-day programmes at 9 am today. Discussions will cover topics including Kerala’s development achievements, major changes likely to shape the state’s future, disaster management, public health, ageing population, the silver economy, the economy and finance, employment, entrepreneurship, skill development, higher education, and Kerala’s global branding.


This is the second time that IIM-K has organized a workshop for the Kerala Cabinet. In 2011, a one-day programme was organized for Oommen Chandy cabinet.
