Two young women killed as private bus rams scooter in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: Two young women died in a tragic road accident involving a private bus in Kottayam on Wednesday. Ashley (25), daughter of Thomas from Vattakkavunkal, Meenadam, and Kripa (24), daughter of Kuriakose Achan from Kadavumbhagam, died in the incident.

The two were travelling towards Ponkunnam on a scooter while the bus was heading from Kattappana towards Kottayam. The scooter lost control at a curve and collided with the bus. It is reported that both women died on the spot. Their bodies have been shifted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Meanwhile, some reports suggested that the bus was speeding at the time of the accident.
