KOCHI: The Fort Kochi police have registered a case against a YouTuber for posting a video containing hate remarks against Kerala. The case has been registered against Amrit Singh Darren, a North Indian influencer and YouTuber. He has been booked under Sections 353(2) and 192 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The controversial remarks, which allegedly sought to create communal tension in Kerala, were made against the backdrop of Fort Kochi.

Amrit Singh posted the video through the Instagram account 'littichokha_up_'. In the video, the influencer claims that he is currently staying in Fort Kochi and says that the Kerala government will be fully responsible if anything happens to him after the video is released.

He also makes remarks about the popular Kashi Art Cafe in Fort Kochi. He cautions viewers against assuming that the name 'Kashi' has any connection with Banaras or Lord Mahadev, claiming that the situation there is entirely different.
