Kerala State Film Awards: Prakash Raj to be jury chairman, 128 films to compete

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor director Prakash Raj has been selected as the chairman of the jury for the 2024 State Film Awards. The jury members are Ranjan Pramod, Jibu Jacob, Bhagyalakshmi, Gayathri Ashokan, Nithin Lucas and Santhosh Aechikkanam. The screening of the films for the award will begin tomorrow. The jury is considering 128 films. The films selected by the two primary juries will go before the final jury. Ranjan Pramod and Jibu Jacob are the chairpersons of the two primary juries. The primary judging committee, chaired by Ranjan Pramod, includes M.C. Rajanarayanan, Subal K.R. and Vijayarajamallika, and the committee chaired by Jibu Jacob includes V.C. Abhilash, Rajesh K and Dr. Shamshad Hussain.

The Chairperson of the Writing Category Jury is Madhu Eravankara. The members of this jury are A Chandrasekhar and Dr. Vineetha Vijayan. Chalachitra Academy Secretary C Ajoy will be the Member Secretary of the Preliminary and Final Judging Committees and the Writing Category Jury.
