Right after her divorce from actor Bala, singer Amrutha Suresh had a rough time tackling the online attacks. The singer later dated music director Gopi Sundar, but soon parted ways. This also led to a flurry of vile messages targeting her on social media.

In the latest interview, Amrutha revealed the incidents that led to her breakup with Gopi Sundar.

“In Bala’s case, I had to finally drop silence and respond only because they tried to drag my daughter into the mess. In the divorce agreement, it was mentioned that the two parties should restrain from slandering or demeaning comments on social media. I am not ready to hurt anyone. My only request would be to not drag me into anything. Let them live happily. I tried to overcome everything through music.

In Gopi’s case, music was our common language and what connected us. Till this time, we have never fought with each other. Gopi loves to be in his tranquil self and enjoys peace over anything. At one stage, it was evident that we could not move forward together. We talked and parted ways amicably. It was a big decision and we never wanted it to go awry”
