THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The crew members of the film 'Soothravakyam' have responded to the complaint made by actress Vincy Aloshious. Producer Sreekanth Kandragula and director Eugien Jos Chirammel, among others, spoke to the media. Sreekanth clarified that they were not informed of any complaint and only came to know about the issue through media reports.
"We have not tried to cover up the incident in any way. As the producer, I take these allegations very seriously. A meeting involving the ICC (Internal Complaints Committee), Film Chamber, and others has been scheduled for April 21 to investigate the matter. This is not an issue that affects just one or two people. We will also look into whether others on set have faced similar serious issues. We are here to speak on behalf of the film. Our set was drug-free, and we fully support all steps to bring the truth to light. But please, do not crucify the people who worked behind the scenes on this film because of this issue," said Sreekanth.
Screenwriter Rejin S. Babu stated that Vincy did not clearly mention to whom exactly in the team she had reported the issue. He added that even the director was unaware of any such incident and assumed that if something had happened, she might have spoken to someone she was familiar with on set.
Director Eugien mentioned that there were no issues caused by actor Shine Tom Chacko during the shoot and that he was punctual and professional throughout.
