Sub inspector sustains stab injuries in goonda attack

THRISSUR: Goons unleashed violence and attacked the police in Mannuthy Kozhukkully. Sub inspector Varun of Ollur station sustained injuries on his palm. It is not clear whether the injury is serious. The police have arrested Vishnujith and Jishnu in connection with the attack.

Police said the two are accused in several criminal cases, including the Moorkanikkara murder case. They are also part of the gang that attacked the Mannuthy police in Nellankara last year. A case has been filed against Vishnujith at the Mannuthy station. The police team had come to nab him.
