THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Uduma-designated MLA K Neelakandan filed a complaint with the high command alleging that AICC omitted his vote in finding the new chief minister of Kerala. Neelankandan alleged that his vote was missing in the AICC observers' list. The list in Mukul Wasnik's possession surfaced on Friday morning, and Neelakandan’s preference was found to be blank. The complaint was filed against high command observers Ajay Maken and Mukul Wasnik.

"I was asked for my opinion, and a precise answer was given. I don't know how my name is vacant in the list. I sent a complaint by mail. I cannot tell the media whose name I suggested for the post of Chief Minister," he told a media outlet.

Meanwhile, it is known in political circles that K Neelakandan is a supporter of VD Satheesan. The VD Satheesan faction alleged a mystery behind Neelakandan’s choice being omitted from the list.

The list was released by a national media outlet. The list shows that in a personal meeting held by AICC observers yesterday, 47 out of the 63 nominated Congress MLAs suggested the name of AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal. Chennithala received the support of eight MLAs. Opposition Leader V D Satheesan received the support of just six MLAs.
