Woman accuses lover of sexually abusing her after promising marriage, files complaint against those including lover's deceased aunt; six-year-old among accused

LUCKNOW: A woman, who accused her lover of sexually abusing her after promising marriage, has lodged a complaint against his family members, including his deceased aunt. The name of a six-year-old child relative of the youth was also mentioned in the complaint given to the police. The incident took place in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. As per the complaint, the woman was sexually abused by her lover Karan Rajput, a native of Rawatpur.

In her complaint, the woman accused Karan of refusing to marry her after sexually abusing her after promising marriage. The woman alleged that Karan assaulted her and stole her belongings when she questioned him about withdrawing from the marriage.

Based on the complaint, Rawatpur police registered a case under Section 376, 392 etc. However, the police later found that the accused's aunt had died years ago. The police also realised that the name of a six-year-old relative of the lover was also mentioned in the list of accused. Following this, the police excluded the name of the deceased woman and the child from the FIR.
