KOCHI: A crucial testimony states that even in the midst of chief minister’s foreign visit, dollar smuggling has taken place via the consulate. The gold smuggling case accused P S Sarith has said that the consulate has transferred dollars abroad, even when a group of legislators led by the chief minister visited Dubai.

After the chief minister and his group have left for Dubai, the state protocol officer Harikrishnan informed that a package was missed. When it was informed to Swapna Suresh, she said that Sivasankar has informed the consul general and the package will be collected from the protocol office.

The bundle of notes in the package came to light when the package given by Harikrishnan at the secretariat was scanned after reaching the consulate office. Sarith has also told that the Dubai police personal in the consulate, Ahammed Al Daukhi took the package to Dubai.
