Electricity bill arrears: Water authority and police department tops the list, says Minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: When it comes to arrears in electricity bills, the water authority and the police department are the baton runners said minister Krishnanakutty in the assembly. The water authority has a piled-up overdue of Rs 1293 crore while the police department sits second with Rs 51 crore.

When it comes to other government departments, irrigation has Rs 19.99 crore overdue, medical colleges Rs 16.83, and the health department at Rs 19.17 crore. The government of Kerala undertaking Autokast limited has an overdue of Rs 80.43 crores.
