Kerala melts in summer heat; one more person gets sunburned in state

PALAKKAD: One more person gets sunburned in the state due to heavy summer heat. Nikhil, a native of Koodallur, suffered sunburns on his body in Palakkad. The incident happened around eleven o'clock today. He got sunburnt on the back of his neck while waiting for the bus at Anakkara. It was only when he got home and checked after feeling the pain that he found out that he had been burned. Then Nikhil sought treatment at the hospital.

At the same time, due to heavy summer heat, a large increase in temperature has been recorded in various districts of the state. Meanwhile, the Central Meteorological Department has informed that the state will receive heavy rains for the next five days. Rainfall will occur in South Kerala and Central Kerala. It has been informed that rain will be received in various districts of Kerala from today till next Thursday
