NEW DELHI: A woman traveler got stung by a scorpion in the back while traveling with Air India. The incident happened on April 23, while the passenger was traveling from Nagpur to Mumbai on an AI630 flight. According to Air India's press release, the officials accompanied the woman passenger to the hospital and did all the necessary help until the time of discharge. The unfortunate incident of scorpion bite is a downfall in standards and a fumigation process was considered immediately, said the airline officials.
According to preliminary findings, the dry cleaning works or the catering service from outside might have paved the way for the scorpion to enter the cabin. Similar incidents of reptile presence on Air India flights were reported earlier. On an Air India Express traveling to Dubai, snakes were found inside the cargo hold.
