Huge drug bust in Kochi, drugs worth more than 12000 crore rupees seized, Pakistani national in custody

KOCHI: Narcotics worth more than 12000 crore rupees were seized in Kochi during a joint inspection by NBC and Navy. Officials informed in a press conference that this is the third-largest drug bust in the country.

2500 kg of methamphetamine, 500 kg of heroin, and 529 kg of hashish oil were seized. This was a stockpile of drugs that was being transported by sea from Afghanistan. A Pakistani national has been taken into custody in the incident and he is being interrogated.
