Woman found burnt to death inside bathroom, infant suffer severe burns

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman was found burnt to death in bathroom of house in Puthenthop. Her nine-month-old son has also suffered severe burns. The deceased has been identified as Anju (23), wife of Raju Joseph Tinsil of 'Roja Days' in Puthenthop. Anju is a native of Venganur. She got married a year and a half ago.

Anju was found dead at around 7 pm on Tuesday. His nine-year-old son who was with him was immediately transferred to the hospital. The baby, who suffered severe burns, is still on ventilator in a private hospital. The police has reached the spot and started an investigation.

According to the information given by the police, it cannot be confirmed at this stage whether Anju's death was suicide or not. Relatives have come forward alleging mystery in the death.
