CHENNAI: The mother of the baby girl, who was miraculously rescued from the sunshade, was found dead. Ramya (33), wife of Venkatesh, a native of Tiruvarur, was found hanging. Her seven-month-old baby slipped from her hands on April 28 when she was feeding her.

Ramya faced severe cyber-attacks after the baby girl was rescued from the sunshade. Ramya, an IT employee, was undergoing treatment for depression. Ramya's parents and Venkatesh had gone to attend a wedding on Saturday. When they returned found her hanging.

The baby girl slipped from her hands from the balcony of her apartment VGN Stafford Apartment in Thirumullaivoyal on April 28. She stayed on the parapet on the first floor for about 15 minutes. The neighbours miraculously rescued the baby. Many including her relatives blamed her for the incident. After the visuals had gone viral, many blamed Ramya in harsh language. Ramya, who was mentally exhausted, was undergoing treatment.

Ramya returned to her own house at Karamada in Mettupalayam two weeks ago. The couple has a five-year-old son besides a seven-month-old daughter.
