Youth, female friend attacked in Bekal Fort, robbed of gold, cash 

KASARGOD: A youth and his female friend who came to the Bekal Fort was attacked and then robbed their cash and gold ornaments. The Bekal Police have arrested three in connection with the incident. The youth from Karadka and his female friend, who arrived at the Bekal Fort in car, were attacked.

Abdul Wahid (25) of Pallikkara, Ahmed Kabir of Bekal Haddad Nagar and Sreejith (26) of Mowal Colony were arrested in the incident. A search is on for one Saddique. A gang of four attacked them at the parking area of the Bekal Fort. The gang threatened the youth and his friend and then dragged them out from the car. They then took the youth’s bracelet and grabbed Rs 5000 from the woman.

The youth later informed the police and handed over the number of the bike that belonged to one of the accused. The accused were arrested in a search conducted by the police. The police said the arrested have carried out attacks centered on Bekal Fort earlier also. The accused were brought to Bekal Fort for collecting evidence.
