Pickup rams into shop killing two and injuring three in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: Two people were killed after a pickup van losing control rammed into a shop. The incident happened at Koodaranji Kuliramutti in Kozhikode. The dead have been identified as Sundaran Pulikkunnam (62) and John Kamungumthottil (65), natives of Kuliramutti. The accident happened when they were sitting on the veranda. Three people have sustained injuries.

The accident happened Friday morning at 9:30 am. The pickup lost control while coming from Poovaranthode and rammed into the shop. Shop owner Joemon, pickup driver Mohammad Riyaz and Shihabudeen Thekkumkutty are the injured. They have been admitted to a private hospital.
