Seven killed in Kuwait accident; two Malayalees sustain serious injuries

KUWAIT CITY: Seven Indians were killed after their vehicle met with an accident in Kuwait. Three including two Malayalees sustained serious injuries. The Malayalees injured have been identified as Binu Manoharan and Surendran. They have been admitted to the hospital. The accident happened Tuesday morning on the Seventh Ring Road in Fintas. The dead and the injured were employees of the same company. A local's vehicle hit the minibus carrying employees of a private company while returning to their place of residence after night shift.


The minibus then hit the handrail of the U-turn bridge opposite Abdullah Al Mubarak area and crashed. There were 10 people in the minibus. Six died on the spot and one in the hospital. The emergency response team reached the spot and took out the dead and the injured from the bus which was completely damaged.

The primary conclusion is that the dead Indians are North Indians. The other two dead are Bangladeshis. The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary. The police have started an investigation into the accident.
