Heavy rain expected in northern districts for two days, holiday declared for six districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rains are likely for two days in the northern districts of the state under the influence of low pressure system from north Kerala to Maharashtra coast and cyclonic circulation over Andhra Pradesh coast over central-west Bay of Bengal. The hilly areas of southern districts will also receive light rain.

Holiday in 6 districts today

Due to heavy rains, educational institutions including professional colleges in Kozhikode, Kannur, Thrissur, Malappuram and Ernakulam districts are closed today. Exams remain unchanged. Today is a holiday for educational institutions except colleges in Kasaragod district.
