Usha N, who made her debut as a child, is a popular face among ardent Malayalam cinema lovers. Her role as Sethumadhavan's sister in Kireedam was a major break in her career. Although she has acted in several films, her roles in films like Chenkol, Kottayam Kunjachan and Sthreedhanam stand out from the rest. The actress had recently alleged that Mammootty had excluded her from his films. Now she has repeated the allegation and even mentioned the name of the movie.
"I was a big fan of Mammookka. Actually, I entered cinema as a Mammootty fan girl. He was also very fond of me during films like Kottayam Kunjachan and Carnival. He has taken many nice photos of me with his own camera.
Later, suddenly Mammookka stopped talking to me. I don't know if this is due to the matters related to my marriage. When I see him somewhere, he only says 'good morning'.
I came to know from the people in the industry that Mammookka is excluding me from the film. When my name comes up a suggestion to do a role, he opposes it. An example is the movie 'Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus', directed by Marthandan. I was initially fixed to do a role in that movie. Marthandan is like my brother. He said that this character would be a big break for me. He wanted me to act in his first directorial. Finally, I was cut out without even an explanation," Usha said.
