'Prithviraj is a great actor, I would love to act in a Malayalam film’; Kareena Kapoor opens up

NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor has expressed her desire to act in a Malayalam film, saying she would be happy and proud to be part of the Malayalam film industry.

Speaking at a press conference in Delhi ahead of the release of her film Daayra on Friday, Kareena said Malayalam audiences are known for embracing a wide variety of films. She added that getting an opportunity to act in a Malayalam movie would be a matter of happiness and pride for her.

Kareena also said she has always had deep respect for several Malayalam actors, including Mohanlal. She praised Prithviraj Sukumaran's acting, calling him a great actor, and said she would love to work with him again.

Daayra stars Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. Kareena plays DCP Ajuni Kohli in the film, which is directed by Meghna Gulzar. The movie is produced by Vineet Jain and Deval Gadha under the banners of Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios.
