MALAPPURAM: The Indian Union Muslim League has refused to dismiss the entry of PV Anvar MLA into the UDF. Speaking to the media, League leader PK Kunhalikutty said that the revelations made by the ruling party MLA would naturally be discussed in the UDF. He said that a decision in this regard will be taken only after discussions.

"If the LDF decides to move forward with PR agencies, not just Anvar but many others will also come out of the Front. How are PR agencies working with the Chief Minister to create communal polarization in the country? One can understand if the controversial statement by the Chief Minister was just a slip of the tongue. However, they are now saying that a PR agency is responsible for it. This increases the seriousness of the matter. The result of the Lok Sabha election in Vadakara shows that all such attempts to divide the people are ineffective," Kunhalikutty said.

"The Chief Minister used the weapon that is usually used by the BJP. The allegations raised by PV Anvar are serious, and similarly, the allegations against P Sashi are also serious. An investigation is necessary into these allegations. No one can turn Malappuram into a riot zone. The claim that League leadership interfered and cancelled the Nilambur public meeting is completely unfounded," he added.
