Actress Parvathy R Krishna recently slammed an online portal for misusing her photo on social media. The actress single-handedly went against the channel and ensured Instagram terminated their page. She has now opened up about the issue.
Parvathy R Krishna:
“I am a person very much interested in photoshoots and actively takes part in it. Recently I did a beach photoshoot and the same went viral on social media. My photographer Reshma shared the photos on her YouTube channel and mistakenly, she posted a wide shot. In that scene, when I turn there is a navel slip which comes and goes in a flicker.
I am not comfortable with sharing photos of cleavage and navel in public. I usually take extra care to not pose that way. Amidst this, an Instagram page called ‘Romancham media’ took the video, made it in slow motion and zoomed it to clearly show the navel part. It also came with a sexually arousing song. At the same time, I found that the page had blocked me in advance.
However, my friends sent me the video and I was shocked. Through the original video copyright, we reported the incident to Instagram, the issue was sorted and the video was deleted. However, they reposted it again on their page which went against the rules and their channel was terminated. The work was done.
I am not a person who is a fan of showing navel in photoshoots. Many messaged me in support and also told me about their ordeal in moving against such channels. If a normal person like me can simply go against these channels, what is stopping others?
When I first watched the video, I cried inconsolably. I have a husband and a son. When my son grows up and sees this photo of his mother in such a lewd pose, will he be ok?"
