HYDERABAD: India's pride and badminton star Jwala Gutta recently opened up about her experience in the film industry. She made her silver screen debut with an item dance in the Telugu movie Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. Jwala mentioned that she joined the film unexpectedly. The movie starred Nithiin and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, with Jwala making an appearance as well.

She revealed that she had no interest in acting in films and only agreed to the item song because her friend Nithiin requested it. Jwala shared this in a podcast interview. "One day, during a party, my friend Nithiin asked me if I could perform in an item song. I thought it was just casual talk and I agreed," she said.

"Three months later, Nithiin called me again and said everything was ready for the shoot. I was shocked. But I felt backing out at that point would cause them a huge loss, so I agreed to go ahead. On the first day, the outfit given to me was knee-length. But with each passing day, it kept getting shorter. When I asked Nithiin what was going on, he just said, 'It looks good,'" Jwala recalled.

She further revealed that the only positive outcome of her acting was the publicity the movie received because of her. "Later, many approached me with offers to act in films," Jwala Gutta shared in the interview.
