Thirteen-year-old missing for five days; made daring escape from first floor of hostel

KOZHIKODE: A 13-year-old student of Veda Vyas Sainik School has been missing for five days. Sanskar Kumar, a native of Bihar, has gone missing. Reports say he ran away from the hostel next to the school.

The boy made a daring escape from the first floor of the hostel. Sanskar was with other boys until the night of the 22nd. CCTV footage of the boy leaving the hostel at 1 am has been received. He reached Kozhikode railway station at 3 am. He reached Palakkad at 6 am. It is not known where he went from there.

Earlier, the boy had told his classmates that he was going to Pune. He had said that he had relatives there. However, investigations revealed that the boy had no relatives there.

The parents also do not know where the boy went. The boy joined Veda Vyas Sainik School last year. The child reportedly had around two thousand rupees in his possession. He did not have a mobile phone.
