22-year-old Kalyani's 'business' deal with Unais; duo caught red-handed in Kochi

KOCHI: Two were arrested by the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) in Kochi for the possession of deadly drugs. Unais (34), a native of Thrikkakara, and Kalyani (22), a native of Alappuzha, were arrested from the Kochi Infopark station limits. 22 grams of MDMA were seized from their hands. Police said that Kalyani works in the film promotion sector while Unais is a history sheeter.

The arrests were made during a search conducted by the DANSAF team at the hotel where they were staying, based on a tip-off. 22 grams of MDMA, thrass, and fuming pipes for drug use were found in their room. On the instructions of Ernakulam City Police Commissioner Putta Vimaladitya, the DANSAF team, led by Narcotics Cell Assistant Commissioner V Rajeev under the supervision of DCPs Aswathy Jiji and Juvvanapudi Mahesh, arrested the accused.
