PATHANAPURAM: Power Minister M M Mani has said that women who are reaching Sabarimala these days are trouble-makers and the government won’t be able to give protection to such women.
The minister was talking to media persons at Pathanappuram against the backdrop of Tuesday’s development. “We can’t help atheists who come to Sabarimala. When that old verdict had been in effect, the government had the responsibility to help anyone coming to Sabarimala.
Instead of sticking to its old verdict, the Supreme Court has referred the review petitions to a seven-member bench. With this, the old order has lost its relevance.
Let the last verdict come out.., whatever it is, that verdict will be implemented. “
On the other hand, Mani said that the government had the obligation to protect the “life and body” of citizens. “Bindu had gone to see minister A K Balan, as the chief minister is out of station. She might have gone to the law minister to get his help,” he said.
Earlier Mani had been trolled for trolling Sangh Parivar and Binu Ammini over the dramatic scenes that unfolded at Kochi Commissioner’s office.
