Superstar Mohanlal recently found himself in the middle of a controversy after he claimed that he had sung the song 'Mathalathenunnan..' from the film 'Uyarum Njaan Naadake'. Soon, singer VT Murali came up criticizing Mohanlal for taking the credit of the song that was actually sung by him. Mohanlal made the statement while he was anchoring a reality show.
Now, the actor has come up with his explanation. During the latest episode of the show, Mohanlal expressed an apology for creating a misunderstanding. The actor said, "After a guest of the show sang that particular song, I told him that the song belonged to my film (Uyarum Njan Naadake) and it was sung by me. However, what I meant by this was that I was the one who had appeared in that song and lip-synced the lyrics. I never intended to claim that I had actually sung that song. I would like to apologise to all those who were hurt by this misunderstanding."
