Vijay hugs Ajith at Silverstone, flags off Le Mans Cup race; Trisha also spotted

LONDON: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and actor-turned-racing driver Ajith Kumar shared a warm moment at the Le Mans Cup international racing event in Britain. Vijay arrived at the iconic Silverstone Circuit as a guest and met Ajith, who is competing in the event.

Vijay ran towards Ajith and embraced him before going on to flag off the two-hour-long race. The visuals of the two stars greeting each other have quickly gone viral on social media. Actress Trisha was also spotted at the venue.

Ajith is competing in the LMP3 Pro-Am category for the ‘Ajith RedAnt by Virage’ team. After greeting Ajith, Vijay officially flagged off the race. The two actors have shared a warm bond over the years, with Ajith personally calling Vijay to congratulate him following his electoral victory in Tamil Nadu. Their reunion at the racing event has sparked excitement among fans.

Vijay’s Britain visit is also focused on attracting more industrial investment to Tamil Nadu. During the visit, Vijay and Sports Minister Aadav Arjuna will assess Silverstone’s advanced safety systems, track design and potential for sports tourism.

The visit is also part of efforts to ensure international standards for Tamil Nadu’s newly announced ‘Motor Sports City’ project.
