One arrested for organising migrant labourers’ protest

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person has been arrested in connection with the protests of migrant labourers at Payippad in Kottayam yesterday. The arrested has been identified as Muhammed Rinchu, a native of West Bengal. He had asked people to gather via phone. The police examined his phone details also. The inter-state migrant workers staged a protest defying the country wide lock down. The workers took to the streets shouting slogans violating preliminary instruction for a social distance to defend corona. The police confirmed a conspiracy in the midst of the spread of the deadly disease and said they were given hope to send them back home. A probe by the police is going on.
