693 cases in 24 hours; total number rises to 4067 in India

NEW DELHI: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal on Monday informed about the current status of coronavirus cases in the country and Centre and state governments' preparations over it.

He said that 291 people have recovered from COVID-19 and 4067 cases have been reported till yet in which 1445 cases are from Tablighi Jamaat attendees.

"693 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 4067 in India out of which 1445 cases are related to Tablighi Jamaat. 76 per cent cases have been reported in males and 24 per cent in females," he said.
