KOLLAM: Kollam collector B Abdul Nazar has went into self- quarantine. He went into quarantine after a person in primary contact of a COVID patient reached the collector’s office. He informed this in the collector’s Facebook page. The employees of the collectorate will also be sent into quarantine.

When his followers shared their concern, he replied saying that it is not a cause for concern and that he has just been included in the secondary contact list. 22 people tested positive of the virus in the district yesterday. 506 people were confirmed of the virus yesterday in the state. 794 have been cured of the disease, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. As the server developed a technical snag, the results could not be uploaded in the web portal of the health department later. So the number was not complete.
