Drama artist CVN passes away

TALIPARAMBA: Famous playwright, director and makeup artist Narayanan CVN (79) passed away at Chenicherry. He was involved in various forms of drama for more than 6 decades.

In 1988, he won the state award for best actor for his performance in the play 'Shirasukal.' he has also acted in movies such as Chandran Naricode's 'Paathi' and Prajesh Sen's 'Vellam'. CVN made his acting debut in 1955 through the political drama 'Prahasanam' directed by Irinav (Payyanad Govindan Vaidyar). He had also worked in plays such as KT Mohammad's 'Kafar', KMR's 'Rajasuyam', Ibrahim Vengara's 'Jahannam', EK Ayamu's 'Jj Nalla Mansanavan Nok', Thoppil Bhasi's 'Olivile Ormakal' and Kalady Gopi's 'Ezhu Rathri'.

CVN is survived by wife Radha, children Ajitha, Sajitha, Rajitha, Ajith, Anil and Smitha.
