Women who participated in drug party with Saiju Thankachan to be taken into custody, case against 17

KOCHI: The police will soon take into custody those who participated in the drug party along with Saiju Thankachan, who was arrested in connection with the accidental death of three including two models, city police commissioner Nagaraju informed.

The commissioner also said that a case has been registered against 17 people, including women who participated in the party. In addition to the digital evidence obtained from Saiju's phone, other findings also led to the detention of those who attended parties with Saiju. Seventeen people, including those who were with Saiju at drug parties in different districts, will be taken into custody soon.

During interrogation related to the death of the models, the police received footage and phone conversations about drug dealing. The commissioner said police also received more evidence of drug use.

Nine cases have been registered against Saiju in different districts. Based on footage from Saiju's phone, three flats near Infopark were inspected using systems including Dog Squad. One of these is Saiju's flat. Drug parties started in flats after the first lockdown.
