Murder of woman in Ambalamukku: Suspect taken into custody from Tamil Nadu

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have taken into custody the suspect in connection with the murder of a woman employee at a plant nursery in Ambalamukku. He has been identified as Rajesh of Kanyakumari. He was taken into custody from Tamil Nadu Friday early morning. The police are questioning him.

Vinithamol of Karipur in Nedumangad was found murdered at the nursery in Ambalamukku Sunday afternoon. She was stabbed on her neck. The police believed that the person seen going out from the shop was the accused. Special investigating team conducted a probe based on the CCTV visuals. The police had also released the sketch of the person suspected to be the accused.

The probe was based on the information obtained from people related to the auto and bike he was travelling in. The shadow police had also conducted a probe focusing on the CCTV footages. The police took him into custody following information that he is in Tamil Nadu. He is a hotel employee in Peroorkada.

He was taken into custody on the suspicion of reaching the premise at the time of the murder. The police are investigating things like whether he is behind the murder and the reasons behind it. Police suspect that she may have been murdered during chain theft.
