Tea served not hot, scuffle between tourists and hotel employees, four arrested in Munnar

MUNNAR: Four youths have been arrested for attacking tourists. They have been identified as Mithun (32), his relative Milan (22), Muhammed Shan (20) and Dinil aged 22.

Forty youths of Erad in Malappuram had reached Munnar last Saturday. The team had gone to Hilltop Hotel to have a tea in the evening. However, one of the youths threw the tea on the face of the hotel employee for not being hot.

Following that, a scuffle broke out between the tourists and the employees of the hotel. Eight employees of the hotel followed the team, who left in a bus and attacked them. Bus driver Siyad and Arshad sustained serious injuries in the attack.

They are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kochi. The Munnar police arrested four youths after a complaint was lodged. The accused will be produced in the court today.
