KOCHI: TV serials are more deadly than endosulfan, said actor and Chalachitra Academy vice-chairman Prem Kumar. The serials shown now question the literacy, social consciousness and logic of the Malayalees, criticised the actor. It is for the good of the next generation that he has not acted in a single serial for more than ten years, he said.
‘I'm not against serials. I don’t want serials to be banned on the whole, you will feel embarrassed when watching the serials aired now. Some serials question the literacy, social consciousness and logic of Malayalees. We should think about the wounds it inflicts on our language and culture. Such serials are more deadly to the society than endosulfan. That is why I have not acted in any serial for the last ten years. It is for the good of the next generation I’ve not acted in such serials,’ he said.
