BENGALURU: Jabeena Taj, wife of Shaba Sharif, a traditional healer of Mysuru, killed in Nilambur, blamed the Karnataka police for their negligence in investigating the case. Talking to a channel, she said the family hoped that her husband would return.

‘Never thought that people from Kerala would commit such a heinous crime. It was Ashraf who took her husband from home. He came seeking treatment for a patient from Kerala staying in a lodge in Mysuru. He forced the healer to accompany him as the patient is not a situation to travel. The healer accompanied Ashraf after neglecting his own illness,’ said Jabeena Taj.

Shaba Sharif was the guardian of a family of nine children staying in a slum in Mysuru. Shaibin Ashraf and his aides abducted him in August 2019. The family had lodged a complaint the day after he went missing.
