Heavy rain continues, holiday for schools in Kasargod district tomorrow, colleges will function

KASARGOD: In view of continued heavy rains, the District collector has declared a holiday for educational institutions in Kasargod tomorrow. The holiday will be applicable to all schools including Anganwadis and Kendriya Vidyalayas. But holiday is not applicable to colleges.

Due to heavy rains, the water level in the rivers of the district has risen dramatically. Tejaswini and Chaitravahini rivers overflowed. At various places, the traffic was disrupted due to water overflowed over the bridge. Evacuation of people from areas prone to floods and landslides has begun.
