Uduma former MLA P Raghavan passes away

KASARGOD: Uduma former MLA and CPM leader P Raghavan (77) passed away at 2 am Tuesday morning. He was undergoing treatment for old-age ailments for quite some time.

He was elected to the assembly from Uduma constituency in 1991 and 1996. He was a member of CPM Kasaragod district secretariat for 37 years. He had served as the LDF district convener, director, Dinesh Beedi, CITU state vice-president and Kasargod district president.

Raghavan is a native of Munnad who has started more than 25 cooperative ventures in Kasaragod. He leaves behind his wife Kamala and children Arun Kumar (correspondent, Asianet News Dubai) and Ajith Kumar.
